Kate Bowen

Bravo! Having worked in the trenches as a Contract Administrator in a field office with 50+ reps for over a decade, and being married to a telecom sales exec, your post really resonated! The agony and pressure at the end of every month, quarter, and year is never ending! They cut short vacations and leave family at the dinner table to make their quotas. There really are legions of dedicated, skilled, and ethical reps out there who care so much...about customers and co-workers. Yes, there are some who reinforce the stereotype (and they don't last long), but many more are true professionals who thrive on getting the deal, but in a way that elevates their calling. And what jubilation when the deal we all worked so hard on came in the door signed!

General Housekeeping

  • Frequency of Updates
I try and write something new 1-2 times per week; less if I'm travelling, more if I'm in the office. Hopefully you'll find the frequency about right!
  • Comments and Feedback
All courteous comments welcome. TypePad occasionally puts comments into the spam folder, but I'll fish them out. Thanks!
