I could not agree more. Last week I wrote a similar post on why corporate IT is oblivious to their new role. But, I do think the renaissance of IT is coming. Either that or the same time next week we will be using EC2 dashboard to provision new server ;)

Fantastic points that many who "live" in IT regularly miss. We all need to get on board with this concept of marketing our functions and ourselves to ensure our respective business' ongoing prosperity. btw - I am astounded that the first comment is a "me-too" vs. "Great Job"... Sorry I am a couple years too late...

Warning: do not ever buy him a drink when there is a piano nearby.

General Housekeeping

  • Frequency of Updates
I try and write something new 1-2 times per week; less if I'm travelling, more if I'm in the office. Hopefully you'll find the frequency about right!
  • Comments and Feedback
All courteous comments welcome. TypePad occasionally puts comments into the spam folder, but I'll fish them out. Thanks!
