It's fairly easy to switch service providers these days. FIOS is giving $150 back to use their service? ummm, Ok. I can take my phone number with me, right?

As soon as I read the title of the blog, I knew where you were going. Telcos have a great opportunity to tie services like HP's Snapfish and PC backup into their bundled services.

Imagine if Verizon got a hold of my cell phone, tv service, internet, online photo-sharing/storage, pc backup, etc.

I would be 100% reluctant to switch from their service if it meant I'd have to re-upload a thousand pictures again.

They could even start charging me storage fees for the 50 GB I'm taking up, and I'd still be reluctant to switch. now that's sticky.

General Housekeeping

  • Frequency of Updates
I try and write something new 1-2 times per week; less if I'm travelling, more if I'm in the office. Hopefully you'll find the frequency about right!
  • Comments and Feedback
All courteous comments welcome. TypePad occasionally puts comments into the spam folder, but I'll fish them out. Thanks!
