You have certainly identified some of the problems, as well as the benefits.

There needs to be a strong, proactive process at an organization to increase the rate of innovation diffusion in order to deal with the increasing prevalence of disruptive technologies, such as Web 2.0.

Otherwise there will ultimately be only two groups of people: those that get it and those that don't.

Good thoughts

And, for an organization to be successful, there has to be a minimal proficiency across the organization.

Think how bad off we'd be if some people "got" email, and some didn't?

Sad for the company, worse for the people.

Anyway, the analogy works for me -- thanks!
